Day 22, Sun Aug 21st, Carson City, NV to Wells, NV

Today started out a bit rocky.  After breakfast, we hooked the Pearl up to get on our way and it appeared to be listing to the side.  Remember our little "cam over" problem from day one?  Well it was back - but worse.  This time the "thingy" that attaches to the spring was completely detached from the frame.

I'm not exactly sure when it sprang loose from the frame.  However, if I flash back to the 11,000 foot elevation, winding, steep as heck, without guardrails, road that we had driven on yesterday - I don't think that I want to know.

And it was Sunday.

Again.

So I started calling around and got to the letter M for McQueen before we found a welding place that could fix this on a Sunday.  The campground was very nice and let us stay longer for free while we waited for our noon appointment with McQueen.  In fact, the kids and I went swimming in the pool while Dave took it to be fixed.  Turns out that McQueen was a very nice guy and was able to weld the thingy back on and have us on the road in less than an hour.

We were leaving 4 hours later than we had planned, so we drove until 8:30 and then called it quits in Wells NV.  Not too bad.

On the way, we passed through Reno, NV

A tractor with 3 oil trailers piggy backed - you don't see that on Route 6
