Day 9, Monday Aug 8, Flagstaff, AZ basecamp - visit to Sedona, AZ

We decided to stay in Flagstaff for a couple of days and make day trips to Sedona and the Grand Canyon.  We woke up this morning, had a great breakfast and re-grouped.  We needed to do laundry, grocery shop and re-organize the car.   Then we headed over to Sedona for the rest of the day.  I highly recommend Sedona - we could stay there for two weeks!

Christian drove to Sedona - on a steep, winding, nail biting (my nails) road.  He did fabulously!

you can never get enough swimming :)

We hiked in Red Rock National Park

the rocks made a natural water slide

Joshua trying to climb the waterfall

Joshua and I experienced some altitude sickness today - headache, loss of appetite and nausea.  He was able to sleep it off this morning.  Mine didn't hit until the end of the day.  When you are accustomed to sea level - this is high!
